If you are suspected of having sleep apnoea then I may request a sleep study, which is a simple test that is performed overnight in your own home.
On the day of your test, you’ll come to the hospital so that you can be shown how to put the equipment on – it’s really easy, don’t worry. Once you’re happy you know how to put the equipment on, you take it home and use it that night. The next morning you bring the equipment back to the hospital and the sleep physiologist will send the information to me for analysis. You and I will then have a follow-up consultation to go through the results and plan any treatment, if required. These tests are done at the Cromwell Hospital (SW5) or the Harley Street Clinic (W1).
